Some of our students will be working with a school near Shanghai around this time. Jess is taking them over and I am hoping to visit them for a few days and then come to the conference. Once I got started thinking of ideas, there were so many more that came to mind. I’ll have to plan something around using VoiceThread in pre-k, k, and grade 1 – it’s been so easy and so powerful with our classrooms this year!

I'd love to see what you might come up with for the younger students as well. You're correct in saying that the early elementary teachers sometimes have difficulty finding uses for the new tools, so I'd definitely vote for a session from you on that. I think Making the Shift Happen: Embracing 21st Century Literacy at Your School and Developing the Global Student: Practical Ways to Embed 21st Century Literacy Skills Into Your Classroom are the two strongest proposals you have. I do believe there will be other sections that will cover or overlap some of the other sessions you are thinking of. The weakness I found last year (and perhaps will continue) is the collaboration between the library media specialist and the technology facilitator.
